Lucas Arango is hier inmiddels bekend en geliefd. Hij werkt veelvuldig samen met flamenco danseres Claudia Karapanou.
Terremoto organiseert i.s.m. met deze gerenommeerde artiesten, een interactieve workshop, waarbij in het 2e gedeelte van de lessen, ook de workshops zang, dans en cajón worden betrokken.

GALA mei 2025
Bij genoeg animo is er in mei een repetitie- vervolg, om de presentatie voor te bereiden voor het Gala van Yota Barón, eind mei in Zonnehuis: Zonneplein 30, 1033 EK Amsterdam.

Via dit inschrijfformulier

De inschrijving is pas geldig als het inschrijfformulier is ontvangen door Stichting Terremoto, en moet uiterlijk 2 weken vooraf binnen zijn, i.v.m. de deadlines van de organisatie. Je ontvangt een persoonlijke bevestiging na inschrijving, per email.

Het gaat door bij 6 deelnemers per groep, de groep is vol bij 10.
Een week vooraf aan de workshop ontvang je tevens een definitieve bevestiging per mail.
Hou je mail dan in de gaten en check ook je spambox. 

Algemene voorwaarden/ betalingen
Je inschrijving is bindend, en gaat op volgorde van binnenkomst.
> Annulering mogelijk tot 6 weken vooraf aan de workshops
Restitutie van het lesgeld is daarna niet meer mogelijk.

Lucas Arango, Flamenco Guitarist – Based in Rotterdam, Netherlands
Lucas Arango's journey to Flamenco was anything but conventional. Born on the Equator, raised between lakes and mountains, he began his musical life as a percussionist, drawn to the rhythm and intensity of drumming.

But fate had other plans. A knee injury forced him to put the drumsticks down, and in 2008, he picked up a Flamenco guitar. What he discovered was a world of profound expression, passion, and complexity—one that would define his artistic path.

Flamenco became his calling. In 2014, he earned a scholarship to the Christina Heeren Foundation in Seville, one of Spain’s most prestigious Flamenco schools. There, he lived and breathed Flamenco for five years, playing multiple times a week in the city's tablaos—the heart of traditional Flamenco performance.

He collaborated with renowned artists, incl. Gabriel Aragú and Irene la Sentio, refining his skills through constant live performance.

His journey has taken him across 10 countries—Colombia, the Netherlands, Greece, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, and beyond—spreading the fire of Flamenco to audiences worldwide.

In 2018, he moved to the Netherlands and continued his artistic evolution at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where he immersed himself in various musical styles and worked in international ensembles. He completed his studies in 2022, bringing with him the teachings of masters like Paco Peña, Miguel Ángel Cortés, Niño de Pura, and Pedro Sierra.

Now based in Rotterdam, Lucas performs in various formations, blending tradition with a contemporary approach. Through his music, he shares the depth and intensity of Flamenco, staying true to its roots while embracing new artistic possibilities.

WORKSHOP

Bulerias
In this workshop we are going to work on the concept of the ‘pataita por bulerías’ with Claudia Karapanou. Marcajes, remates, llamadas: how and when do we use those codes in a fiesta, in order to be able to dance por bulería. Accompanied by singer Yota Barón, guitarist Lucas Arango and Udo Demandt on percussion: (nog ovbh), we will learn how to interact in real time with our musicians, in a natural and intuitive way.

Zambra
Zambra has a very special place in the world of flamenco. A dance of the gypsies of Granada and an evolution of ancient Moorish dances.
In this workshop we are going to work on the specific aesthetic of this style with its mysterious Arabic influence, through a choreography and accompanied by the beautiful music of Lucas Arango, Yota Baron and Udo Demandt (nog ovbh)

Zambra heeft een vrij gedeelte en een deel in Compás, wat op Tangos lijkt maar terdege anders is.
